We busted out the maps and devised to take the main roads. Upon checking further down the road, my friend and I found no entry. I thought about my non existent wife, kids, brothers, and most importantly, my love for my country. The journey that led us here was all for nothing. It had 2 of the same symbols painted onto it. It was so massive that we knew something fishy lurked in the air.and fishy it was. Presented before us was this massive steel door that casted its gaze menacingly. Both my friend and I looked at eachother. So we did this, and after navigating for 10 minutes, we finally made it to the main objective. And finally, we were forced to open our maps numerous times to see our current location and strategize a game plan to overcome the evil dirt and bushes. We attempted to climb the treacherous "10 degree incline of doomed dirt" that Karl is somehow unable climb (I suppose we forgot to equip the climbing gear before starting the mission).We got stuck on the "infinite reloading" animation of our rifles. Before reaching the main objective, we navigated ourselves through a labyrinth of evil bushes that blocked easily openable areas not considered by the devs. We kept to the left side of the map, this time, heading straight for the main objective. So after making the easy decision to not let this game waste anymore of our time, we decided to push forward. Out of the 8 "destroy aa guns" that I believe there was, we only blew up 3 because the game did not give us enough satchel charges (and we did explore to try to find some). My friend just goes "you guys were in a submarine, why the **** didnt you go underwater.Īfter that PTSD causing event, the main objective now requests us to enter a base to blow up some huge electrical dish (I dont even care at this point for proper terminology of that thing) but instead, we decided to do optional missions. It couldnt have been 15 minutes later, that a German artillery gun fires a single projectile onto the SUBMARINE and killing the entire crew. Upon us exiting a SUBMARINE with our allied friends onboard, one of them shouts something on the lines of "Dont get us killed by getting alerted". First mission right off the bat has me in tears of laughter. This made it "difficult" for both myself and my co op partner. Im honestly quite shocked on how much of a step back they have taken compared to Sniper elite 4 in terms of blocking certain paths. I am going to be refunding this game as I was willing to give it a chance, but as most of the reviews here have stated, the traversal in this game takes me back to the Playstation 2 days.
